Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern every reservation, stay and event hire made with Kenarim at 171 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia. By confirming a booking, whether directly with us, through our website or through a travel agent, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Where a corporate booking is made, the person confirming the booking warrants that they have authority to bind their company to these terms.
Bookings and confirmation
Your booking is only confirmed once we have issued a written confirmation and received any required deposit. Email confirmation may take up to two business hours during our normal operating times.
Rates quoted at the time of booking are guaranteed for that booking. Rates advertised on third-party channels do not form part of your contract with us unless we have confirmed them in writing.
- Direct bookings through our website or reservations team are the only rates guaranteed by us
- Room allocations may change if the same category is upgraded at no additional cost to you
- Special requests such as specific room numbers or floors are accommodated where possible but not guaranteed
Payment
For room bookings, a one-night deposit is required to hold the reservation unless your package states otherwise. The remaining balance is settled at checkout, with the card presented at check-in as the payment method of record.
For event and boardroom hire, 50% of the quoted fee is due at confirmation, with the balance payable within fourteen days of the event date. All amounts are in Australian dollars and exclude GST where it applies.
Cancellations and changes
Cancellation terms differ between room bookings and event bookings, and these are outlined separately in our Refund Policy. Where a booking is made as part of a package, the terms of that package apply in addition to these terms.
We may cancel a booking in rare circumstances, including force majeure, safety concerns or non-payment. If we cancel your booking for a reason within our control, we will refund all amounts paid and use reasonable efforts to help you find an alternative.
Guest conduct and liability
Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors and for any damage caused to hotel property during their stay or event. We reserve the right to ask any guest or visitor to leave the premises if their conduct is unlawful, unsafe or unreasonably disruptive to other guests.
Kenarim is not liable for loss or damage to personal property except where caused by our negligence. Vehicles left in our parking facilities are left at the owner's risk as disclosed on arrival.
Website use and intellectual property
All content on kenarim.com, including text, photography, logos and layout, is owned by Kenarim or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce or redistribute this content for commercial purposes without our written consent.
We do our best to keep information on the website accurate, but we do not warrant that every detail, including availability and pricing, is free of error. The website is provided on an "as available" basis.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that state. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of these terms will continue in force.
